Dear Student,

We are delighted to reach out to provide information on our world-leading MSc. in Economics programme at Trinity College Dublin.

Our programme is delivered by internationally recognised academic staff from the Department of Economics, Ireland’s leading university known as one of the top universities in the world. Economics has been an important part of the College’s curriculum since 1832 when the Whately Chair of Political Economy was established. The Department is committed to delivering the highest standards of teaching and has a strong research record, particularly in the field of Applied Economics.

Our MSc students not only benefit from the Department’s leading role and research expertise, they also enjoy privileged access to resources generated by the TIME research institute and IM-TCD research unit. Moreover, our Department counts with an active postgraduate research programme producing the largest number of doctoral degrees of any economics department in Ireland.

In addition to academia, our graduates are highly sought after by private sector employers, for example in banking, finance and consulting. Many of our graduates also go on to pursue successful careers in government, multinational organisations, think tanks and non-governmental organisations who value the analytical and problem-solving skills our graduates possess. Examples of the diverse organisations where MSc in Economics graduates work or pursue PhD studies include the European Central Bank, International Monetary Fund, Central Bank of Ireland, Department of Public Expenditure, ESRI, Deloitte, Ulster Bank, AIB, Bank of Ireland, Boston University, Cornell University, LSE, Trinity College Dublin, etc.
