Most of our SCSS computer labs are now available for you to use on an “open access” basis when there are no scheduled classes taking place. These are Trinity Central, LG35/LG36 and LG12 (detailed locations below). LG37 will also be available from Monday 27 September.
You can use these labs to engage in online classes or for your own private study.
The labs are available from 8:30am to 7:00pm Monday to Friday. You can check the times when labs are not scheduled for classes on the following web page (note that the page will be updated frequently as timetables are modified).

The labs have a limited capacity in line with Covid-19 restrictions. Stewards will be present in the labs to monitor capacity and adherence to other public health regulations. Adhering to the instructions of stewards and school staff and to the following regulations is a condition of using the labs.
- observe all signage and pay attention to instructions given by staff and stewards
- observe social distancing and the indicated capacity of labs
- even if you are using your own laptop, you must sit at one of the designated workstations to maintain 1m social distancing
- avoid congregating inside or outside labs
- exercise good respiratory hygiene (wear you face covering, wash or sanitise your hands frequently, cover coughs and sneezes with your elbow)
- sanitise your workstation before and after use using the wipes provided in the labs
- removing or interfering with Covid-19 signage will be reported to the Junior Dean and the effected lab will be closed
